Misfits is a set of five small sculptures conceived from imagination. This body of work focuses strongly on the material transformation, narrative, and connection between a particular set of found items and their collector. All of the found objects are remnants of broken animal figurines washed up and found at Dead Horse Bay in New York. Forging limbs and bodies to the fragments of ceramic,


Once a horse rendering plat, then a exploded landfill, Dead Horse Bay is a time capsule from the 1930s. Walking on the beach is an experience, quite surreal as you walk by an ensemble of washed up dolls, horse bones, blue patina spoons, and warped toothbrushes, accompanied by the clattering of broken glass
